Chrissy

It’s May and it’s Graduation Day

I woke up feeling so refreshed. I was so glad Corey was finally out of jail and although our relationship was nowhere near where it used to be, he was a tremendous help when it came to Caleah, my baby girl. She was now about a month old and I was so happy to be pregnant no longer. When I say the last stages of my pregnancy were the worst, I wasn’t lying.

I was happy that Cali and I had finally made it all the way to the end of this road. Some people were preparing for school but Cali and I were preparing for an expansion. I didn’t have time to play with anybody these days. I thought back to the day I had to whoop Raniya’s ass. I never told Corey about that incident and I hadn’t seen her ass since, but I knew it wouldn’t be long before she was showing her face once again. Whenever she got word that Corey had his baby, I was more than sure I would see her ass around. I wasn’t planning on whooping her ass again if ever we did cross paths, but if she wanted it the answer would be the same, that bitch could definitely get it.

“Hey auntie’s baby. How’s that big girl doing today?” Cali said as she picked little Cali up. We usually called her Caleah or Leah for short. We tried Cali but it was just too damn confusing, so we stuck to the basics. Cali had that damn girl so spoiled it was ridiculous. She hadn’t even been here a full month and since she had been home, the girl never slept in her own bed. Either she was on Cali’s chest or her dad’s, but the shit was actually very sickening to me.

I was glad that Cali had come to my rescue though, because I needed to hop in the shower right quick. Today Cali and I would be walking across the stage and finally welcoming the real world; although we had already entered that world years ago, this was still a great accomplishment under our belts. I didn’t take long in the shower because I didn’t want to push Leah off on Cali because she was my child, but Cali acted as though she was her child as well so I took a little longer.

“Chrissy, I wanted to talk to you about something real quick because this shit has been heavy on my heart,” she said and by the tone in her voice, I could tell it was serious. My sister was my entire world, I promise and Caleah was my heart. I missed my other brother and sisters as well but hell, we had to get us right before we were able to do anything for them. Now that we were ok we could probably look into trying to get them back in our care.

“I want to go by mom’s and see if she’s there.
